Coke County ESD Commisioners are excited to announce, as of today, Feb 16th, 2026, we have a fully paid staff on the amulance in Robert Lee that will be covering the entire county. Robert Lee is in the center of Coke county and when they were a volunteer service, was responding county wide over the past few years. We have contracted with West Coke County EMS service and they have hired employees to staff the ambulance 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Big day for Coke County.

The Coke County ESD commisioners are not done working. We are still working hard to get a second fully staffed ambulance to help with response times throughout the entire county. As you probably know, it will take some time to get a second ambulance ready to go as well as money.  The tax money we collect from Coke County residents was able to get us our first fully paid ambulance, but is not enough for a second, yet. But we believe, sooner than later, we will get there. Thanks for your support.
